Voluntary Prekindergarten Specialized Instructional Services (VPK SIS)
We offer Voluntary Prekindergarten Specialized Instructional Services (VPK SIS) at all of our locations.
Florida’s VPK SIS educational program is a new option for parents of 4-year-old children with special needs, such as autism spectrum disorder, that is available outside the traditional VPK classroom setting. If your child has a current Individual Education Plan (IEP) from your local school district that calls for specialized instructional services, you can choose VPK Specialized Instructional Services instead of traditional VPK school-year or summer programs.
The VPK SIS program allows parents to use a student’s VPK funds to cover ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy (OT) and additional approved professional services in place of the child attending a VPK program. Learn more about the VPK SIS program here.
Parents can apply online for VPK SIS coverage. Tell the local early learning coalition you would like to use Engage Behavioral Health as an ABA behavior therapy provider and we will work with them to set up services.
